Receiving digital calls from your website and app (WebRTC)

Real time communication on web browsers and mobile applications, the technology process that allows this happen is called web real time communication or WebRTC.

WebRTC conducts audio and video communication so that it can work inside web pages or apps without the need of any additional technology.

WebRTC technology is crucial for LimeCall as it allows us to conduct digital calls that would be available on your website.

You can now conduct digital calls from a browser via your desktop.

If your customers are using Internet Explorer, the digital call button will not appear on your website since this browser does not support WebRTC.

But, if your customer is using Edge, which is a new version of Internet Explorer, they won't be facing any issue launching a digital call.

This means more than 95 % of your customers will be able to launch a digital call from their primary browser without any issues.

You can conduct digital calls from a browser on your smartphones and tablets.

Here is how:

1 . iOS

If your customer is calling from a mobile browser and if they are using iOS they'll be able to launch a digital call from Safari browser only, since WebRTC technology is not being available on Google Chrome, Firefox or Edge when it comes to iOS.

However most iOS customers are using Safari as their primary mobile browser and can launch digital calls from there.

2. Android

If your customer is calling from a mobile browser when using Android they'll be able to launch a digital call from Google Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet and Opera for Android.

This means that all your Android customers will be able to launch a digital call from their primary mobile browser smoothly.

Digital calls from your app
